About Us

Hi! My name is Carolyn Grygar, owner and IBCLC at Memorial Breastfeeding LLC. I am a native Houstonian who grew up in the Memorial Area. After attending college at both Texas A&M and Texas Tech I pursued a career as an engineer at BP. In 2017 my husband and I welcomed our first son into the world and I was surprised to learn that breastfeeding didn’t come as easily as I had expected.

Less than two years later we welcomed twins into the world! After a brief stay in the NICU, they were both home with us. With a LOT of help from my IBCLC, they were eventually exclusively breastfeed.

When our twins turned one I stepped away from my engineering career to care for our growing family. In early 2022, we welcomed our fourth child into the world and my passion for breastfeeding was once again ignited. At this point I began the journey to becoming an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).

Memorial Breastfeeding, LLC, was created in the summer of 2025 as a practice devoted to empowering mothers with compassionate, personalized support. At this point in time we offer both in-home and virtual care, with a plan to incorporate office visits in the near future. We are in-network with multiple insurance providers and working hard to expand.
